Background & Credentials
At HLT Nutrition Co., your care is always led by Registered Dietitians (RDs) who are trained to provide expert, evidence-based nutrition support. We know you are trusting us with your health, and we take that responsibility seriously.

What It Means to Work With a Registered Dietitian
Every RD on our team has completed:
A bachelor’s degree in nutrition or dietetics
An advanced, graduate-level nutrition program
A rigorous, unpaid dietetic internship with more than 1,200 hours of supervised practice
Credentials
These supervised hours take place in hospitals, outpatient clinics, community programs, and food service settings. This training ensures that our dietitians are prepared to support a wide variety of medical conditions, ages, and cultural backgrounds.
After finishing their education and internship, each dietitian must:
-
Pass a national board exam to earn the Registered Dietitian (RD) credential
-
Maintain active registration with ongoing professional oversight
Ongoing Professional Development
Nutrition science is always evolving, and so is our practice.
To maintain the RD credential, our dietitians complete:
-
Over 75 hours of continuing education every five years
-
Courses and trainings focused on the latest research, clinical guidelines, and best practices in medical nutrition therapy
This commitment helps ensure that the recommendations you receive are grounded in current science, not outdated information or trends.
Advanced Specializations
In addition to their foundational training, several of our dietitians hold board certifications and advanced expertise in specialty areas, including:
-
Renal (kidney) nutrition
-
Oncology (cancer) nutrition
-
Pediatric nutrition
-
Gastrointestinal disorders (IBS, IBD, celiac disease, and more)
-
Diabetes and blood sugar management
-
Weight management and metabolic health
These specializations require additional training, supervised experience, and continuing education, so you can feel confident you are working with someone who truly understands your specific health needs.
Why Our Credentials Matter for You
Working with a Registered Dietitian means you are getting:
-
Medical-grade nutrition care, not generic wellness advice
-
Personalized recommendations that consider your diagnoses, medications, labs, and lifestyle
-
Support that aligns with your medical team’s plan and current clinical guidelines
Our goal is to combine deep clinical training with compassionate, practical support so you can feel confident in every step of your nutrition journey.
If you have questions about our team’s background or want to be matched with a dietitian who specializes in your specific condition, we are always happy to help.
